Pressing Macha Allah

In a medium-sized town in Togo, laundry is still mostly done by hand in tubs outdoors, even if this work is contracted out.

The young entrepreneur Djawad and his wife received a loan from TIKOS for their start-up so that they could buy two washing machines and irons and set up a store. They use the motorized tricycle to pick up dirty laundry and deliver it to private and hostel customers cleaned and dust-free in a more environmentally friendly way.
